Friends Service Council Nepal (FSCN) is a non-profit making national level, non-government organization working in socio-economic development and human rights in Nepal since 1992 A. D. FSCN aims to fight against poverty and injustice through empowerment of the poor and marginalized people living in difficult circumstances. It is registered in 1992, under the Government registration act, and affiliated with Social Welfare Council and NGO Federation of Nepal, Disaster Preparedness Network Nepal (DPNet), National Disaster Management Network of Nepal (DiMaNN). FSCN is run by a team of committed professionals with many years of experience in development field.
FSCN has been working in disaster risk reduction, water, health and sanitation, livelihood support program, Human Rights, youth Mobilization women and child development program. It has been organizing many awareness, advocacy and lobbying campaign, capacity building in the field of DRR, WASH, Human rights and other development sector. FSCN has been celebrating FSCN day every year on mangsir 20th. This year also FSCN has planned to organize programs related to DRR, WASH and Human Rights issues on the occasion of FSCN day on Mangsir 20th 2068 (December 6th 2011).FSCN day this year is going to be celebrated on the theme of “Everyone’s Commitment and Solidarity for Social Justice and Sustainable Development” in collaboration different I/NGOs and development partners.
