Workshop on “DRR, WASH and Climate Change”:

FSCN has been working in disaster risk reduction, water, health and sanitation, livelihood support program, Human Rights, youth Mobilization women and child development program. It has been organizing many awareness, advocacy and lobbying campaign, capacity building in the field of DRR, WASH, Climate change issues and other development sector. FSCN has been celebrating FSCN day every year on Mangsir 20th organizing various awareness programs. This year also FSCN has planned to organize programs related to DRR, WASH and climate change issues on the occasion of FSCN day on Mangsir 20th 2068 (December 6th 2011).

  1. Workshop on “DRR, WASH and Climate Change”:

The workshop is going to be organized on the theme of “Our Commitment on Solidarity for Social Justice and Sustainable Development” in collaboration different I/NGOs and development partners.

 

For sensitization, awareness and policy advocacy a half day workshop on DRR, WASH and Climate Change is planned. Three different papers presentation will be done related to:

from the expertise of the respective subject. Total 80 participants will attend the workshop from I/NGOs, government, media persons, Human Rights activist. 

Objectives: The main objectives of the Workshop are

  1. To Sensitize on linkage and effect of Climate change on DRR and WASH
  2. To discuss about the current situation of Climate change, DRR and WASH
  3. To discuss and analyze, the adaptation and mitigation for climate change and DRR for future direction of planning and implementation to reduce vulnerability of its effects.
  4. To do policy advocacy of Climate change issues, DRR and WASH for mainstreaming Disaster into development projects for sustainable development.
