Completion of 6th Convention of Friends service Council Nepal
15st General Assembly and 6th convention of Friends Service Council Nepal was successfully conducted with the theme of “Campaign for Peace and Constitution for Social and Economic Transformation” on 26th kartik 2068 at Lalitpur, Nepal.
Mr. Surya Bahadur Thapa, President of Friends Service Council Nepal chaired the program. Ms. Madhavee Pradhan, general secretary of FSCN presented Annual progress report of fiscal year 2068/2068 and Work plan for fiscal year 2068/2069. Ms. Anita Khadka, Treasurer of FSCN, presented the audit report of fiscal year 2067/2068 and estimated planned budget of income and expenditure for fiscal year 2068/2069 of amount NRs. 1,22,78,000.00. The presented reports were discussed among members of the organization present in the program was approved in mutual agreement. Dr. Uma Koirala, acting member of FSCN board gave a welcome speech.
The sixth convention, unamiously elected a nine member executive board for upcoming three years. The members of the Executive board are:
The three-member team led by advocate Mr. Tika Dhoj Khadka and two members Mr. Krishna Prasad Shrestha and Mr. Janardhan Achary facilitated the election.
Mr. Surya Bahadur Thapa highlighted that all the member have equal duties and responsibilities. He urged that since the current scenario non-governmental organization has become very challenging, the coordinated effort in public concerned issues should be focused more. He also thanked all the participants of the program with the commitment of improving and further managing the organization. The general assembly, sincerely thanked all the government and non-government organizations, well-wishers and I/NGOs for their continuous support and cooperation in the programs and organizational development of FSCN. Mr. Narayan Prasad Acharya, the acting member of FSCN conducted the program.
