Friends Service Council Nepal (FSCN) is a non-profit making national level non-government organization working for socio-economic development, disaster risk management WASH and human right issues in Nepal since 1991. FSCN aims to fight against poverty and injustice through empowerment of the poor and marginalized people. The main areas of intervention of FSCN are Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), human rights, women, child and youth empowerment, gender equality and social inclusion (GESI), climate change and disaster management.
FSCN in partnership with DCA Nepal is going to organize “Nepali culture learning programme” for Danish volunteers from 3rd October to 15 November.
The volunteers will be staying with local families in Lakuribhanjyang, Mahalaxmi municipality-1, Lalitpur and Changu-10, Changunarayan municipality, Bhaktapur. Local volunteers should stay with their counterpart (Danish volunteer) for one and half months with the local host family and support the him/her for learning as well as the host family for communicating with the volunteer.
Rs. 200/day allowance will be provided along with free lodging and fooding and a volunteer certificate.
*English speaking and good communication skills is must.
